To work closely with PGA Coaches and Director of Golf to introduce young people to golf, from all backgrounds, creating golfing opportunities. To work with a variety of national and local partners such as Golf Foundation, Kent Golf Union, School Games Organisers, clubs, and schools to help more young people enjoy the playing and personal benefits of golf.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- A sound knowledge of sports development principles and practices is essential.
- Experience of sports development work with schools, communities, and other clubs.
- To plan, and deliver where appropriate, community outreach presentations and practical demonstrations and activities to potential students, local schools and partnerships both on and offsite as part of the community golf development programme.
- Duties will extend to ensuring that risk assessments are undertaken ahead of community outreach activities taking place.
We are looking for team members to join Food & Beverage. We offer varying hours.
To maintain a high standard of service to all customers as required, ensuring speedy, polite, warm and efficient service at all times.
Contribute ideas for the club operation affecting food and beverage service and planning.
To aid the Head Chef to achieve budgeted food costs and achieving gross profit margins ensuring systems are in place to support the profitability of all food areas.
Complete food knowledge of the section allocated ensuring the mise en place of the section is performed to the high standard required at all times.
Prepare, cook and present food to company standards as instructed by the Head Chef or Sous Chef
To ensure daily, weekly and monthly cleaning duties are carried out.
Ensure correct portion control as instructed by the Head Chef
Attend meetings and training programs as required.
Establish and maintain effective employee relations within the department and the club.
Have a clear understanding of the club’s employee handbook and regulations stated within.
Always strive to exceed expectations of yourself and those of seniors.
Promote teamwork within, the kitchen, food and beverage department and other department.
To have a thorough knowledge of and adherence to the law with regard to the following company regulations:
Fire regulations and procedures
H&S at Work regulations
First aid procedures
Food Hygiene regulations (Food Hygiene Manual)
COSHH regulations
To participate in any relevant training for the duties of this post and to achieve the key objectives of London Golf Club
To comply with standard employee Health & Safety at Work responsibilities.
To comply with London Golf Clubs Equal Opportunities policy.
40 hours week plus 1 in 3 weekends
NVQ level 2 or above, minimum requirement
Turf management experience required
Operating and maintaining machinery
Keeping self, work areas and Greenkeepers facility in a clean and tidy condition
Following all Health and Safety regulations/club policies
Reporting, record keeping and communication
Establishing working relationships Preparing course for play
Golf course construction
To ensure the regulations of the Health & Safety at Work Act are fully met, and comply with standard employee Health & Safety at Work responsibilities.

** Due to location you will require your own transport **
We are looking for a trainee greenkeeper to join the team on a full time basis. (Average 40 hours)
You will be helping the team mow and prepare the golf course for the days golfers

Monday to Friday along with 1 in 3 weekend mornings (which are paid as overtime) Weekend hours are approximatley 4-5 hours each day
Start times around 6am

Full training is given – qualification to attain Level 2 in Greenkeeping from Hadlow College, requiring C grade in Maths and English – desirable
